Amazon is good at senior levels. What role?
Amazon seems to pay worse and have a crappier culture. But AWS is bigger then GCP and has clear business impact and technical challenges. So If you want to get burned out making solid platforms and externalized services for less money Amazon is the right choice. Otherwise, not Amazon.
Google low balls and downlevel a lot. As pays much better than GCP. The question should be Google brand vs Amazon Money.
Neither. Both are evil.
And Starbucks making the world a happy place by selling free drinks?
Whoever offers more interesting work or better comp. It's really the wrong abstraction to think that company matters more than project, team, and individual preference. In resume terms Google is a bit stronger but either one pretty much guarantees you a phonescreen anywhere and after that it's on you.
Amazon. Google pay much less.
Not sure that's true. For the new grad offer Google Seattle TC is more
Wait. What?
Amazon, if you want to learn about how tech really makes money
Everyone knows it’s tough to get into google. Every second engineer in tech in from Amazon. Google is a better brand to have in your resume.
Honestly, feels like a tossup to me. I'm trying to get into Google because I thought I could get better comp, but apparently that's not the case anymore. I'll have to set up interviews with Pinterest and Airbnb to hopefully get competing offers.
This shouldn’t even be a question.
Why not? Is AWS that obvious?
With the information op has given its obvious. If op needs more nuanced discussion give more details - role, org/team, level etc.
