Want to check ranges before getting back to recruiter. Base/Bonus/SignOn/Equity. I see mostly TC for senior manager engineering/PM roles. edit: I have 8 yoe in Strategy/Finance.
What's your current TC
Current TC: 150k. Getting compensation discussions in 200-300k range. Wide band by company and components are different
My Senior manager makes more than 700k (his words) in Seattle. Sde senior managers should be around 10-20% less.
This would be for a business role. Also not sure what level this is. Can a SM be L6 or L7? How does the differentiate the pay?
SM is L7, manager is L6. I am not sure about the pay difference between them. Someone mentioned above that business role would have 10-15% less than a SDE SM. 300 k seemed low thats why I mentioned my SM's TC
300 seems right for amazon L7 non tech role in Bay Area..you can go little upwards of 320 if hiring manager really liked you..
Should be ~10-15% less than Software Senior Manager
Thanks, would something like this be competitive for business role in the bay? Base:180k, Bonus:75k for 2 years, Equity: 50k for 4years. TC: ~300k? Let me know if any of the components are off/ need adjustment
