Amazon Sunnyvale SDE1 comp ceiling
What's the ceiling for Amazon SDE1 for Lab 126? They told me I will only have 5 days to accept after they share numbers with me so I asked them to hold off until I finish a couple of more interviews. I have PhD + 3 yoe. I thought PhD's get SDE2, I guess it's because I didn't do great on system design. Current TC ~180 including bonus. How much higher can I go get with SDE1?

β Nov 8, 2019Yes but it's included in this 200k limit. This limit is for TC, so sign on bonus/base/rsu all includes.

I donβt know if that cap is true I have a teammate whoβs also L4 in the 175K range in Seattle
180 TC is the cap for Bay Area SDE1 160 for Seattle You can try for SDE2 for higher comp
Well that sucks. I think I'd have to wait for cool off and reinterview for SDE2. Recruiter says they can't change that.
Amazon has been doing this shitty downleveling as well
