Received an Amazon L6 TPM offer in a HCOL. Looks like I was low balled quite a bit reading all the posts about how Amazon is giving much higher offers for the past 6 months or so. The offer is very close to my current TC.
I’m expecting a verbal offer from another firm and have another loop coming up. Can I use the verbal offer to negotiate in the 450k range? Will Amazon ask for proof? Can anyone please share top of the band for L6 in HCOL?
Offer details:
Base: 185k
Sign-on: 196k
RSUs: 245k
1st year TC roughly 309k
YOE: 18
Current TC: 300k

Edit: I have not been able to confirm 360k TC based on data points in the internal # pay-equity slack channel. Although I am seeing posts for $330k TC in Seattle which is wild, most posts are around $280k in Seattle for L6 TPM. That leads me to believe $350k-$360k in a HCOL is not unreasonable. Maybe someone else can confirm if it is possible to get higher than $360k TC for HCOL.
I am interested in applying myself later this year and would appreciate any and all resource recommendations. Thanks!
