Hi, I'm thinking of applying at Amazon for a role based in US. I'm currently working in a very relevant role at a top FMCG company in India. Are there any chances of getting a call or it's impossible given the visa issues and all.
Also, am I at any disadvantage compared to the Indian candidates studying in US and applying at Amazon? We'll both be at the same level right? From the visa perspective. Pls clear
Masters students have an advantage in h1 lottery
Forget about it. Amazon has enough internal candidates within India who are more than willing to apply to the US. Add to that L1B is an easier visa compared to H1B and no hiring manager would be willing to go through so much trouble. Unless of course you work in a very niche field.
Yes that's my concern, L1B would be much easier and many Indians working at Amazon here would want to shift. Thanks.
Not coming to Amazon US. Period
I applied via referral, and the final interviews were on chime.
My team just took someone from India,, it took paperwork and about a month
What visa?
Work for Amazon in India for a year and then transfer
Some amazon roles approve international relocation. Usually for more senior roles as those are easier to sponsor. Which roles are you considering?
Hi, I was looking into Sr Instock Manager and Sr Program Manager roles, mostly L6. But international relocation is the only factor or the lottery based visa is the major concern.
You can only go on H1B and it's not easy to get lottery.
