The last week has been surreal. I for one would like extend my sincere apprecation for Amazon as both an employer and for the support the company will provide to its customers during this difficult time.

The company catches a lot of shit on blind, buy how many of us will appreciate the convenience it provides when those smiling cardboard boxes arrive on our doorsteps this spring?

Thank you Amazon, for making this whole situation a bit less shitty.

    Amazon put me on a pivot on my sixth month and told me about it during the coronavirus break. I’m not a low performer and the reasons for the pivot are ridiculous. I asked hr to appeal to the reasons of the pivot right now and they told me I can only appeal at the end and that can be only about my pivot performance evaluation, not about the reasons for me to be put on the pivot from get go. Then I asked them to at least suspend the pivot until everything goes back to normal because all my deliverables are dependent on other people and they sent me a link that explains how to work from home effectively. Yeah for sure I appreciate amazon as an employer.

      PIPs are usually politically driven and not necessarily performance related. I know that doesnt help you but your performance could have nothing to do with it. Is it shitty to put people on PIP especially during this time? Yes. But even people who managers dont particularly like, their good performance wont save them, so I dunno maybe you rubbed someone the wrong way and you didnt even know it. Still sucks though, sorry you're going through that

      Thanks, I know. They also made it pretty clear that it was due to political reasons. That’s why I want to appeal to the decision.
