Hi, I have got a coding assessment from Amazon for new grad role. There are 3 sections including coding challenge, describe your approach and a work style survey. Could someone help me understand what do they mean by describe your approach and work style survey? In describe your approach do we have to record the response or something? Thanks in advance.
@Google neither. You select the most politically correct answer choice, even if that's not what you would do in practice. Woukd you cover up a bug you committed? Answer is no, irrespective of what you'd actually do.
Describe your approach means explain your algorithm. What data structures are you using and why? Are you using BFS? Why? What other approaches did you consider? What is the complexity of your solution and could it be better?
Describe your approach is a time to explain space/time complexity of your solution. Work style survey is about 40 questions with a range of agree disagree type questions like is it ok to take praise for something you didn't contribute to.
So will there be a video recorded or is it just to write it down?
Hmm, what's the correct answer for that last question? Do they want the truth? Or is this a red flags checklist type of questionnaire in which you're supposed to tick all questions as no
