I realize this has been asked before but I'm just looking for any tips I can get at this point. I had a request for a coding screen with Amazon sent my way so I'm guessing I have to take it within a week. Been lightly leet coding for the past several weeks, didn't expect to be taking something this quick. Leetcode has been rough and slow, with some progress. Given the time frame, any tips on where my time is best spent?
Depends on the level. For L4 have datastrictures and algorithms down. You'll be expected to know how to use them. And differences between them. L5 needs get fewer hints and are expected to write reusable code. Expect to get at least 1 systems design question.
Honestly I'm not sure what level it'd be, considering I'm less than a year out of school I can't imagine it'd be very high.
In that case its definitely L4. Brush up on data structures like balanced trees and priority queues and such. Practice algorithms and know the trade offs you're making, like sacrificing space complexity for time complexity. Most of all ask clarifying questions. The interviewer will give you hints, but they can't read minds yo know where you may be stuck.
