Given no new stocks will be awarded for 2022-23. Feels like this is more to attract outside talent than to care for internal folks. Now amazon is free to hire external talent at higher band and the internal folks can’t complain because amazon being the best employer in the world(sadly a leadership principle) has already given us a huge salary bump which will be effective after April, 2023 (barring base bump). More thoughts? #amazon
It’s not effective this april?
Why 2023?!
Isn’t the base increase effective April 2022? That itself might be a substantial hike
Well it's not like every gets a free 200k on top.. it just seems to be increasing the ceiling for base. Probably to allow a more even mix of salary and stock in TC.
Where did you hear no awards for 22/23? I’ve not heard that anywhere, from anyone, rumor or not.
I've heard it from couple of colleagues including SDMs.
I guess this will happen. Ceiling increased, oh, yes, but they will tell internals your TCs are still in the band of your level. So, sorry, not for you this time.
Feel like it’s just a patch and not a real solution
Where should an external person join?
Why pay to PIP when our employees can just leave themselves? Be frugal.
Lol. Best frugality joke I've ever heard about amazon.
Yup. It’s a joke
