Amazon data architect
please advice on day today activites in AWS as data architect ( data warehouse). Will there be travelling onsite only on kick starting customer engagement?
I interviewed , got an offer and rejected it. My reporting manager told me to be prepared for 75% travel. Depends from team to team - better check with your manager once you know who it’s going to be ( they will tell you after the offer and before you accept it). Good luck!
Thanks. I’m on H1, technically I cannot travel 75% due to amendment issue. I spoke to the manager, he said 30 to 40% depending on the engagement.
Am on H1 too. Why can’t you travel 75%? I think you cannot work at a location that was not in the H1 petition but 75% doesn’t necessarily mean to various locations. It means 3 in 4 weeks travel to client location (can be same client). Anyway if your manager confirmed 30-40% travel then it’s good. Travel is not always bad - some people like it. Just not me.
