Is this a good move? Are people at other companies like Twitter who have had their WFH extended happy about this trend? I honestly don't know what to think... https://www.geekwire.com/2020/amazon-extends-work-home-policy-january-2021-opens-offices-new-safety-measures/?fbclid=IwAR0YM4CQaqisACs9eGetqjL_bMWwS94WJGjcaunU3ttOE5JH-mibHzdj3rc
Are people at Apple WFH too? I don't think I read anything about Apple? I could see it being a lot harder for them.@AppleEmployees?
They will just keep pushing the date back. It’s a long road back to normality.
It was a necessary move. Jan 2021 vs indefinitely WFH, it’s debatable
OLD NEWS NO SURPRISE
Really sad that the FCs are still CovidDishes and but alas, someone has to Do It For The Stonks :(
I was wondering where is the post for "Hey, I have a pulse and outlook360, do you care about my mild musing and confusion on this "move", that I comprehend only less-smarter-than-me-higher ups have made?"
Wait who said Twitter had wfh extended to 2021? I assumed it was happening but didn’t know that was confirmed or denied.
Okay I don’t get this, and it’s confusing me. The wfh forever thing from twitter is literally just an option on the table. There are plenty of companies that allow wfh or remote positions. Twitter is just allowing everyone to wfh if they want. I for one won’t, as I love coming into the office. This “wfh forever if you want” thing is much different than “amazon must wfh until 2021.”
They don't want to be blamed if someone dies and it came from the office.
When someone in the building got it, the whole building will shut down, and a good portion of people will be terribly sick. It's only a matter of time if Amazon forces reopening.
FWIW, Amazon is the last major tech company to announce WFH beyond October. Other major tech companies already did it in their first announcement. Nothing surprising here. Everyone was going to WFH beyond October anyway.
Yep. Anybody who thought they would be sitting at their desk on October 2 was living in a bubble.
