Amazon focus question

I joined Amazon 4 months back as program manager, non tech, so far its going good however having read horror stories on blind, just wanted to confirm am I thinking too much into this?

Recently my manager created a quip to capture 1:1 meeting notes, the content there is unbiased with some of the initiatives i am working on. Read somewhere on blind that in focus which is a pre-pip, manager starts documenting 1:1, is it true? Are there other amazon folks who have similar 1:1 document for them but they are nowhere close to focus?
