Amazon have stooped to a whole bad level! Got an email from HR couple weeks ago about a job there, then no phone call interview or nothing, she send email straight forward this will be the TC are you okay with that? I didnt say yes or no, i just asked questions and broke it to will see when we get there, and what the RELO look like, so she send back oh we need a technical exam and we will set it up, i was like okay, does this mean i am being highly considered? No answer but got the exam invite. Did the exam and 3 days after i get an email from another person there say, we will not continue forward and we are not going to say why nor share a feedback for the exam.....is this really how amazon being professional...this is a new low and very disrespectful way....is that normal? Also i think thats might be illegal
I can bet that You are going to still apply there and entertain any further communication for future roles. Just vent and get over with.
To be honest not really, but i am just shocked you think amazon have professional mindset yet not
Normal recruiting != illegal
It is a question whether it is illegal not to give a feedback or not, because for all i know it could be discrimination or another reason, yet i donot know why
It is not illegal to not share interview feedback; furthermore the reason they do not share interview feedback is likely to to avoid any legal risk that would come with sharing feedback.
Which part of this is illegal?
The part where he didn't get hired. Is that even allowed?
Not to give a reason why they are not going further, for all i know its just ok we stop here, and we wont tell why
"does this mean i am being highly considered?" probably a strange question for the recruiter... nobody is highly considered except if u black, latino, female, native am, or combo of the above. not sure about homosex. or trannie but probably so these days. Re: no feedback, 1 of my frustrations too but seems to be an industry standard. Rarely have I gotten feedback from anywhere. Based on what you put, probably just didn't ace the exam. "might be illegal" probably not illegal, they have teams of lawyers shaping the process in order to be legal, and part of the awkwardness is to stay in legal bounds
do you really want to join the PIP machine and ruin your mental health?
Yeah. I never do the online test
Just decline
I use them to practice for interviews in other companies. So need human interviewers for mock interviews. Lol
Ok recruiter
This what they call AWSome
Thats 'Weir'd !
