What is Amazon's international transfer policy for L5? I heard you need to work for 1 year before applying for international transfer, so this 1 year should be in the same group? Or you can change teams/groups at the same location and this 1 year is total time you have worked in different teams at the same location?
Stop burning company’s money to ship low quality labor
Low quality labor? How did you judge that?
Amazon's not stupid. International transfers exist for a reason. If they're transferring out of the US, it means they'll cost about half of what they would in the US (cost depends of course on location). If they're transferring to the US, they'll help contribute to bringing talent to the US, which is good because they're a talent shortage.
1 year in total at level 5. Time at l4 doesn't count.
What is the policy for SDM L6 - from India to US and vice versa ? If you join as SDM in US, and prefer to move to India after a year, will you still get the promised second year bonus ? How will that work out ?
1 year in an l5+ role. So you could have been hired a year ago at l5 and been recently promoted to l6 and that would still give you a year at l5+ but if you were hired 10 months ago at l6 then you need to wait another 2 months. This is only if you require immigration support in the destination country. If you are transferring to a country where you already have work authorization (eg, from the US to your home country) this doesn't apply. You keep your RSU when you transfer. Not sure about cash bonus, I assume you get that but still check. New grants will be at local rates though.
Thanks, curious about the cash bonus. Anyone ?

Best LCOL or MCOL city?
You can transfer whenever you want.
That's not the case I'm certain there is the 1 year clause, unless its been changed now and that's what you mean
Nope. I am not aware of any one year clause. I am in Amazon for more than two years now
