I have been looking to move and had the taken Amazon’s online screening test. It was a complete interview abuse! 1. It is expected that we spend 2 hrs for a mere screening test. 2. The questions were LONG. It was strings question, with million conditions. And they expect two of these questions to be done in 90 mins. 3. The ‘similar to work’ questions didnt test my coding skills. It tested my perseverance in the face of grey cells killing job. I felt very frustrated and abused by the interview. I was expected to code up what an average engineer would take half a day to complete. Even in a stressed environment, an engineer would have lot more flexibilty (whats with the annoying timer?). This kind of ill treatment of candidates should not be allowed. I hope this post reaches people in large numbers and candidates start refusing to participate in such abusive hiring practices. Before you decide I am an ill-prepared, sour ranter, I have been preparing DS and Algo for about 1.5 months. And, I have offers from microsoft and google. edit: abuse is a noun here, eg: alcohol abuse
Abused, really?
Needs a hug and an emotional support puppy?
lol @ "abused"
Wait till you actually work at Amazon!
😅🤣
Yeah nah this is a good representation of amazon
I think it’s too optimistic
That’s right keep playing victim
I would seriously consider the weight of the word "abused" and what that means to many people before you use that to describe your experience.
Hey I’ll take your interview spot
I thought it was over the top as well
