Amazon non-tech pm --> tech pm

Current
5 yoe @ Samsung, semiconductor mfg
I have a BS in Chem E
110 TC
Austin, TX

I interviewed a few times with Amazon,
1- got down leveled from L5 to L4 (tech role)
1- interviewed for L6, made it all the way through and then rejected

Now I have an interview for a non tech PM and recruiter told me salary range is from 125 - 130 TC
Also, it's remote for now.

If I go through with this interview, and get the position. How easy is it to switch to a tech PM role internally? And also do they bumb up salary if you successfully move internally?

Yes, you can switch but it will likely mean an internal loop where you will be evaluated on your tech skills.
When you move, you will get a bump if youโ€™re below the bottom of your new band. You would make more by getting an offer for a tech role.

Would the bump only be in base salary, or in terms of equity & sign on?

It could be on all 3, but would likely be base and RSU. Also, if the stock grow between you starting and changing role it will be taken into consideration. Meaning that a strong company performance might mean no change in TC when you move.

Join Amazon in a technical role. Amazon puts you in the lowest possible band even for internal transfers.

Does that mean if I switch from non tech to tech, I'll be in the lowest band for L5 tech PM (which will still be higher than non tech)?
