hey! Got offer from Amazon for managerial position L6: 135k base 40k RSU And wanted to know is it good? And how is Tokyo office? YoE 9 TC 95k
be prepared to have you soul slowly sucked our of you over the next few years
Why? Is tokyo office this bad?
I can not speak to the Tokyo office specifically, this has just been the experience of myself, and several other individuals I know, and have seen on here. I hope your experience is different, but from what I have seen it seems great at first and then slowly sucks out your soul after that. Best of luck to you.
If you're looking for a competing offer, I'm hiring managers for indeed Tokyo. We hire regularly from Amazon/AWS and people are immeasurably happier here and just as well, if not better, paid.

Google CFO confirms 'large-scale' layoffs (Apr 17)
Congrats! Hard to say since you didn’t list your role. I’m a L6 in Seattle, with 9 years experience, non tech biz dev, 145k base, 100k yearly bonus//stock before growth. I was able to raise my offer 20k after it was first presented to me.
When you say biz dev, do you mean cold calling and early stage sales pipeline?
No. I help develop partner strategy and execution
