Amazon onsite result: "Recycled"

Amazon onsite interview result: "Recycled" I had my onsite interview at Amazon last week for 2 positions (split loop). Yesterday I was told by the recruiter that I scored great on LPs and had good feedback but I will be more suitable for "tactical" and "execution' roles instead of "strategic" roles and hence it's a No for the roles which I interviewed for but asked me to share job IDs of other roles where I will be a better fit so that she can get me in touch with respective recruiter. I might not have to appear for another loop. I have following questions: 1) What is the turnaround time in these cases ? 2) Recruiter did not say anything about downleveling but shall I propose it to her to avoid recycling and get an offer in the same team as timeline is a major constraint for me ? 3) Has anyone had success with such scenarios before ? Would appreciate your inputs. #amazononsite

Similar situation...waiting now

Similar situation, did you'll get an offer extended?

Just depends. Sometimes they can find you another role within 1-2 weeks, and just require a phone call with the hiring manager. I would not ask for a down level since it will take you at least 2 yrs (or sometimes never) to get promoted.

Did your earlier recruiter help you connect with new recruiter or you applied for new roles again ?

The earlier one did not help, they just passed it on to a new recruiter handling the kind of roles I was a better fit for. I had given up. It out of nowhere a new recruiter contacted me citing my previous onsite.

Update - I gave some job IDs to the recruiter last week but she has ghosted. Any suggestions on how to take this forward ?

I am recycled too, new HR asked me available time line for next interview, and waiting for it. is it last chance for me? or can I try more?

I am in the same situation. My first HR didn't help me, the second HR said, 'For this role you will be required to complete all stages of the process'. Does this mean a full loop within 45 days? Can anyone help?

Amazon byeybye Jan 11, 2021

Yes. If the role is completely different than what you previously interviewed for, and/or in a different org or job function, you will have to redo the entire interview process.

Thanks for the response. I have usually read that for 6 months you don't have to go through another onsite. The previous role was Analyst L5 for different domain and this role is Analyst L5 for different domain.

Hi OP, I'm in the same boat. What ended up happening?

Has anyone got interviewed immediately after getting recycled. I gave full loop last month and was told by recruiter that I have a recycle time of 6 months. Now I got messages from two recruiters. Is there a chance that I will get to interview again immediately?

How did this end up working out for you? In the same boat now.

My recruiter didn’t use the word “recycled”, but I’m guessing that’s what the post-loop decision was for my L7 PM-T-ES split loop based on the feedback she provided. I think it was an issue of domain not matching. I thought AWS didn’t care about your background, only your competency. Apparently the hiring team thought that I’d be a good fit for an L6 at groups that are a domain match, but the recruiter said that based on my expected comp range, I’ll not fit with anything less than an L7 PM-T-ES. So she said that she’ll do additional work to find me another home. It’s all so confusing. Why invite me to interview with these teams if my domain was going to be an issue? It can be clearly assessed from my resume and the four rounds of phone screens I had with various HMs. smh
