Amazon recruiter reached out to me about some positions and offered to have me take an online assessment if interested. Took it, and recruiter reached out to say I passed it and they would like to move forward with next steps. ~1hr later, Twitch emailed me that they were interested and would like to skip the first non-tech phone screen and jump straight to technical phone screen and asked for good times for that. The Twitch email says that they don’t interview anyone currently interviewing with Amazon for conflict of interests reasons. Turn down Amazon, resume interviews with Twitch? Or vice versa? I’m trying to determine pros/cons of each, so far I have: Twitch: - Benefits (esp. PTO) - Culture (maybe? Glassdoor reviews...) Amazon: - More locations to transfer around - Possibly more varied team opportunities - 🍌? I’m interviewing with a couple other companies as well so may choose neither, just trying to determine which to continue with. Any pros/cons or suggestions welcome. 4 YOE $160k TC
Imo Amazon is better than Twitch. Internally the company ain't doing so hot
I think that you could tell them that you will make a decision before they give you an offer. The main reason for what they told you is that they don’t want to compete on offers.
“The Twitch email says that they don’t interview anyone currently interviewing with Amazon for conflict of interests reasons.” That’s not true, I interviewed at both places at the same time.
just do both.

Tell Twitch, you already completed an assessment with another team in Amazon and that you are interested in interviewing with both teams if you make it to onsite you would like a split interview.
Not possible. It’s not the same system and HR.
