I recently received an offer from amazon. They didn’t meet my expectations. They mentioned that they need to get an exception to meet my expectations. But they say that the exception can be done only once. Meaning, once approved there is no way to revise. Is it true?
Not true, i had a candidate we did 2 exceptions
Does this depend on the org? My recruiter was very positive that he cannot do more than once
What does exception really mean here? To adjust/increase your offer letter
It means anything over the pay band needs VP approval for a increase
I see, thank you :) I don’t even know the pay range for each grade... Can anyone share the range of L4, L5 and L6 in Seattle? Thanks 🙏
An offer that is an exceptional means over the range for that level
It CAN be done twice...but it’s best to make the strongest case for what you need the first time. If they said They can’t go back for more, then they may have gotten that information from their financial comp specialist who told them that that was all they could give
I agree, but I messed it up the first time. Now they say they can’t go back again
Out of curiosity, how did it get messed up?
Not true
Mind sharing your offered position and TC the first time and revised offer?
It depends on the bands for your role. I think exceptions only once is bullshit.
