Has anyone seen Amazon (Seattle) employees going from L5 to L6 in 1 year or less? The L5 employee in this case is doing the same work as L6s on the team
So in most cases, how much time does it take to go from L5 to L6? I believe this is an easier promotion than getting to L7
Manager can correct it within 3 months of joining with a justification of mis leveling... else, the same rule of meeting the bar applies like any other promo.. I've seen a very handful of cases where that has happened, but its incredibly hard
Does managers really have such powers to correct mis levelling? That's impressive! Does it apply for L4 to L5 as well?
