Amazon to Twitch Internal Transfer

I'm interesting in doing internal transfer to Twitch. I contacted a recruiter there and have a loop there. I wasn't asked for my design docs or CRs and this seems like a pretty form interview (a la external interview). I would obviously like to show off my internal stuff as I think it better demonstrates my skills than just my resume, but I maybe Twitch doesn't roll that way? If someone could chime in on their experience, or knows about the experience, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!!

Our team has hired many Amazon-ians. The loop is a normal loop but we fear less false positives. Twitch has a different set of LPs and will test you against those. If the loop goes well, the hiring manager will go and look at your past contributions where applicable. Send me some DMs if you want. Having said that, you won’t be able to get a promotion or pay bump during the move. If you are close to the next level, I suggest that you reach it first.

Yeah, not expecting promotion or pay bump. Good to know that I should be expecting a normal loop. I'll DM you, I appreciate it :)

Does Twitch follow Amazons pay scale?

Plus Twitch inflated titles. The title and levels are not the same as Amazon or AWS. E.g. a director at Amazon would be L8 and there are L7 directors at twitch, the downshift applies but up and down from what I can tell. Does anyone have more data?

The titles are just titles and have nothing to do with comp. The levels are the same Twitch isn't super consistent on hiring across teams so your mileage will vary a lot depending on who your talking to. You can dm me for advice on the org you are looking at, you should evaluate them like they're evaluating you.

I see many senior engineers that are actually L5s. That’s from the startup days I guess. Also our CEO is essentially a VP. Don’t limit yourself to that.
