Amazon vs Flipkart
I have seen many quora answers, but still I have confusion on who does better. Do not compare Amazon with Flipkart. But please compare Amazon India with Flipkart. Who is better in terms of, 1. User experience 2. Which Online shopping people's trust the most? 3. Revenue/Yearly turnover 4. As Amazon is totally backed by so much financial support, now that Flipkart is backed by Walmart, does Walmart completely support Flipkart in terms of Finance? 5. Why does salary paid at Flipkart is more compare to Amazon? For eg. Base salary for an sde 1 at amazon is 12 lpa and for flipkart is 18 lpa. Isn't amazon financially too big? Why don't they pay more?
Answering each of your questions: 1. user experience-Flipkart 2. Which one people trust the most? In Metros it's Amazon and the rest of India its FK. Evident from the market leadership in these places 3. Revenue: FK definitely, given its very high market share 4. Financial support: Things got more compliance driven now ay Flipkart and margin pressures on the way with IPO planned in couple of yrs 5. Not from tech side, so no idea of its in engineering
Frugality is one of the leadership principles at Amazon...
Then let's expect 1 rupee per month as salary.. Hahaha
