I received a verbal offer from Amazon L4 for $200k TC in Seattle (not sure about breakdown). Microsoft L60 is $170k TC with $30k sign on in Atlanta.
With benefits and stuff Microsoft looks like it’s the same comp.
I’m not looking at buying a house, and rent in Atlanta doesn’t look that much cheaper than Seattle, and with no state income tax I don’t think it’ll be that bad.
I’d really like to live in Seattle - hate the heat and Atlanta sounds really rough these days. Am I wrong for seriously considering 🍌? How hard is it to get a location switch at Microsoft in the future?
