Amazon/Vancouver cost of living

Can anybody tell me what is the cost of living for a two people family in the downtown Vancouver. I will be joining Amazon Vancouver office. I would like to have the house near the Amazon office. I talked to few people and they said the rent for the house are low but when I searched on internet I can see they are pretty high. What does a 2 room furnished apartment will cost in down town?
