Hi guys, My friend is in Amex and she was wondering the salary change when getting promoted to Manager level from analyst. She is due for promotion and wants to know if the hike is good enough to wait for the promotion or should she explore other opportunities. If anyone on Blind has gone through the promotion process at Amex india, please share the hike you got. Her current pay is 20LPA base. TC 25LPA Yoe 3.75

Typically they'll start you at ~25LPA which is the minimum base for B35. If she is taking over an existing team, they will account for any B30s in the team who are potentially earning a similar amount and ensure the 35 is >> than the 30.
There can be scenarios where b30 of one team earns more than b35 of another team?
Its not very common, but a one off case is probable. Having said that, they do perform parity checks throughout the year, and adjust pay in these cases.

Assuming the it is a Band Promotion from B35 T2 (Assistant Manager) to B35 T1 (Manager), the hike bracket is like 15-30% for Amex India but I would suggest to not settle less than 25% as I have seen a lot of folks getting at least 25% and max 30%. Hope that helps :)
