MSFT hrweb says that you are eligible for annual rewards if I leave company on or after June 30.. Hypothetically say I leave the company on July 2nd … when will I be getting the cash rewards paid out? Immediately after I leave or on Sep 15th? Does leaving before rewards discussion with manager have negative affect on rewards received? I don’t want to take a chance of effecting my cash bonus amount.. so should I leave on or after Aug 31 correct?

You'll get a bonus in 9/15 as a check. Numbers get submitted to VP in early June. No manager will go and ask VP to change numbers and look like an asshole in VP's eyes. Chill.

You will still get a bonus if you leave that early. Don’t expect it to be good though. Your manager is not going to go out of their way to get you more if you have already left. They will put those resources to the rest of the team that is still there.
