Annual bonuses

Including options and stock grants and such, along with plain old cash, what are typical medianish annual incentives at your company? We are just starting an annual incentive plan this coming year and I am curious how we compare to others, especially in the SF Bay Area. Until they tell us what we got in February I can't tell you what ours looks like.

$0 And that’s why I’m available to the highest bidder.

Amazon Jeff Pesos Dec 20, 2017

Really? Even t mobile gives stocks and bonuses... are you fte?

IBM 👁️🐝♏ Dec 20, 2017

Hey sounds like you're gonna get 1k real soon

Netflix Djdmdj Dec 20, 2017

0 (but if that counts everyone get 5% of base salary in discounted options, vesting monthly)

Amazon aCqz14 Dec 20, 2017

2% base salary, 0 stock. I was told I'm a high performer, that's why the base increase is "so high" compared to teammates.

AT&T DDM2K Dec 20, 2017

Pro tip: base increase isn’t what’s “so high” in this equation

SEVENROOMS DEADB33F Dec 20, 2017

What we're your rankings? Solid strength isn't high performer. That said, I've never seen Amazon give out any real, short term bonus even for people with the about highest ratings. They will give you $20k in stock vesting 2 years out which means you get $20k less if you are promoted in that time.

Microsoft pCQG20 Dec 20, 2017

Currently getting ~17% yearly cash bonus and 9% yearly stock for high performance at SDE II

Google hopeyoucan Dec 20, 2017

What is 9% stock? 9% of base? Is that 9% vesting each year, just the next year or over multiple years?

Microsoft pCQG20 Dec 20, 2017

Sorry 9% is incorrect, I just checked again and it was actually 6.5% of base, vesting over a few years (I believe 3). Stock awards seem to suck at Microsoft..

Snapchat DicNhlqst Dec 20, 2017

Usually I've had around 15-30% and 1-200k over 4 in stock. I've been consistently rated high performer. Not at Snap. They don't really do that.

Lockheed Martin Schz3 OP Dec 21, 2017

What does "1-200k over 4" mean? $250.00 to $50,000 ?

Northrop Grumman jrmy Dec 21, 2017

Means x amount vested over 4 yr

Microsoft LeetiCode Dec 20, 2017

A decent year at MICROSOFT is 2-3% increase in base, 10-20% bonuses based on your level (65 and above is 30%), and around 15-30% of based on stock.

T-Mobile y73h92e Dec 21, 2017

15% bonus which trends higher based on company performance (got higher than 15% last year). $10,000 RSUs each year, every every year regardless. These vest in 3 years (1/3rd of 10K vests each year). Every year you stay you get 10k more RSUs always.

T-Mobile y73h92e Dec 21, 2017

5% 401k match, 100% on first 3%, 50% of last 2 %.

Lockheed Martin Schz3 OP Dec 21, 2017

I should mention that we have been ramping up to 6% 401k plus 4 % matching every year as the pension accrual phases out. But no bonuses. 2-5% raise is typical depending n performance . We will see what the bonus package looks like.

“I am curious how we compare to others, especially in the SF Bay Area” Do you work in the greater dc area? If so, chances are that you get paid way less than ppl in Bay Area.

Lockheed Martin Schz3 OP Dec 22, 2017

In the Bay Area thus the keen interest in comparison.

Cisco jLrz73 Dec 22, 2017

20% at my current company. 35% at the last one, but it was rare that they paid out the full bonus.
