I'm mulling an offer from Apple (software, Siri org), but they don't mention anything about annual stock refreshers or annual bonus ages%. In Google, although these are 'discretionary' one can comfortably expect a good (40-70% of base) stock refresh and a specified 'target bonus percentage' ~15-20% of base as annual bonus - the actual percentages will vary according to a number of things like perf numbers, director etc. So, - Do people _usually_ get 'good' grants/bonuses at $AAPL or not? - Are these consistent annually in frequency, or does it happen that you perform OK but get a very token amount or get nothing? ICT4 has a chance of no refresher :(
Refreshers are Almost guaranteed for SWE. It’s quite good, can be easily between 100k-150k based on your level, n bonus 15%.
Even joining at this point of the year? Can you expect half that amount if you joined mid year?
there is a cutoff period. this is the best time for next year, u are getting a full year for showcasing your talent.
you usually get raises, bonuses and stock grants but nothing is guaranteed
My refresher at Apple (9 month after starting) was 100% of my salary. Very decent. My bonus on the other head was measly — like 10% of my salary. I was surprised since my previous employer bonuses with up to 50% with a multiplier if certain targets were exceeded. But at an M2 or M3 you also get quarterly bonuses based on earnings reports — 7500 per quarter if we beat (scaled down based on targets).
Yes they do. Apple expects that half of your compensation in year 4 will be equity.
