What is the annual range bonus % of salary at Microsoft Redmond for L63?

I saw at blind that some people say %30. Has L63 and L64 have same %?

EDIT: Changed “target” to range in the pool question.

  • L63 is 0-30, target is 15.

    Safe to assume 15-20% if you're a strong preformer... I can say with absolute certainty you will never get 30% unless something is terribly wrong (because you should have been promoted before that happens).

    • 63-64 are treated the same. 65 (Principal) is where it changes. Also note this is the cash bonus were talking about. Stock is additional, there's also SSAs (Special Stock Awards) which are rare but can be as big as they need to be... 🚀

      Just to set realistic expectations, one should not be expecting SSAs. It is, as the name suggests, special after all.

  • Senior band is 0 to 30%, with 15% being the "target" (i.e. the bonus you get for a 100 slider rating).

  • It is also dependent on the role you have outside engineering bonuses are different
