I was recently reject in an amazon onsite pod style interview. A different recruiter has reached out to me again for another position in a different location. Should I tell them about my past interview or just ride along ?
Don’t discuss your past interview just ride along. They can see your history but that does not matter unless red flags are raised on you by previous interviewers
Rejected*
You better fess up. Happened to me also - they later find out and tell you via email "try again in 6 months to a year".
Be open about it, they’ll look you up in systems and see exactly what happened with your previous onsite. Normally there is a 6 monthe period to re apply for the same role (or get a recall) if there are no red flags. If it’s a different one as in your case am not sure about the policy
The last recruiter told me that there were no red flags
Drag it along so that by the time you are hired it’s 6 months from the last time
Why you want to work with Amazon? Its the worst place to work. They will judge you on shitty behavioral questions like ‘tell me about a time when you screwed your work’ even if you rocked at technical interviews. Common every situation is different and same person can act differently on same kind of situations. Totally stupidity!! Prepare well for G, FB . At least you will have a good candidate experience
For me it was all about the kind of work they are doing. I want to move away from my current profile and get into distributed systems domain. They seem to be doing interesting stuff there.
They will come to know
