I’m curious about how product management at Facebook works. Do PMs report to PMs and they give the functional specs and it’s then the engineering managers job to deliver or, does the engineering manager decide what needs to be built ?

next and why, and writing high level requirements for it and work with design. You also work with research and data to figure out what’s next and how well what you shipped is doing both on qual and quant side. You will spend a lot of your time influencing cross functional teams and a lot of other PMs to get your stuff done.
