Regardless of what I think of Trump as a person, I voted for him because:
I would rather talk with Russia than go to war with them.
I would rather risk offending someone than be too politically correct to confront problems.
I would rather we spend on infrastructure than on handouts.
Who doesn't want lower taxes?
Etc...
I am disappointed that fellow Americans will call me a you-name-it-IST because I voted for the person I believe will be better for our country. It's really depressing after a while. After seeing so many anti-Trump posts here, I hope this post might give other supporters a moment of positivity and comfort that they are not alone. Any constructive thoughts?

we weren't going to war with Russia to begin with. we put sanctions on Russia for a reason.
WTF does offending someone have anything to do with solving problems? Or the president? they're just giving fucking speeches you dipshit.
It's not like war with Russia was part of Democrat's policy. Everyone likes to talk than fight. That's common sense. But let us not forget that the sanctions were put in place for a reason.
Isn't it bizarre for a president-elect to strongly go after his own country's intelligence agencies to defend Russia, when the evidence clearly showed their involvement? Do you really believe he's doing all this out of selfless concern for the country?
What does problem solving have to do with calling minorities terrorists, rapists or fat pigs?
Is that stupid, expensive wall considered infrastructure too?
Everyone wants lower taxes. Even better, NO taxes. But is that good for the country over the long term? His tax policy benefits the rich the most. Good for him and his family. We will end up paying much more to the government over the years to make up for the deficit.
We can go back and forth on these issues. But that doesn't help anybody. The candidate you supported won. Savor the moment. After you do that to your satisfaction, if you can, try to hold him accountable on his promises to make the country better and speak out when you need to. Rather than defend his every ill-advised action like some of his misguided supporters do.
