I am in entry level manager role at Samsung. I don't manage people. I manage product. I have a personal situation where my wife is in a different state and I would like to find a similar job profile in a company where I can work from home 1 week a month to be with my wife. I know it's easy to find engineering/SDE/HDE job where I can WFH but not sure about entry level product management job. Samsung work culture does not allow you to work from home.
So you can work remotely for a week straight every month?
Am manager at Cisco. Fully remote from my entire team. I am not an anomaly. In my area there are at least 3 other managers that are partially or fully remote from our teams. I travel to meet with my team every 3-6 weeks (depending on length of visit and other factors.) Quick edit to note that my team is all in one location, but other managers have teams split between locations and at least 1 has every team member in a different place.

You might be able to find a full-time wfh gig here.
I second Cisco. One of the main reasons I like it here is the work place/time flexibility. Does depend on specific manager though.

Cisco makes it easy to work remotely.
So you can work remotely for a week straight every month?
I've been working from home for years. If I spent a week straight IN the office, it would be out of the ordinary. I save an hour of commute time each day, which is usually spent working. Cisco provides a hardware VPN router with the same wifi and physical phone I have in the office. I saw a report once showing thousands of these CVOs installed for employees. Join us. You're welcome here.
I believe that could be worked out with any reasonable manager. I've allowed folks on my team to work remotely for example when on a long overseas vacation. We have a policy on our team to average 3 days in the office per week which your situation would adhere to.
Microsoft is flexible like this. I only work a day or so in a month at the office
Dell EMC allows work from home as well, depending on the position.
Which location? And what positions? Do they allow managers to work from home?
I would imagine any location. Most of the sales and presales roles are remote. In areas that don't have a Dell Technologies office, all the jobs would be remote. I'm not sure if our career search page grants you the ability to search for remote jobs. I don't know if Product management roles are work from home or not. Most of those jobs are based on the east coast though.
Oracle let's you work from home once a week
Maybe HPE also can allow u WFH, however it depends on ur manager.
