Any decent companies with non leetcode style interview?

Primarily looking for companies that emphasize heavily on take home project or contract to hire instead of LC. I feel a lot better about working on a small project than spending 2-3 months girding on LC. I don't dislike LC or I'm lazy, it's just my preference. Thanks. PS: even better if they offer remote #leetcode #faang

Loll! why did you tag these companies then?

Because these companies have a higher reach/eyeballs and hoping one of you from FAANG worked previously at the company I described above. :)

I see, I heard Pinterest stopped asking tricky Leetcode style problems. Just check with someone at Pinterest :)

Robinhood recently did away with leetcode, now assessment is more about system design and architect skills (2 YOE)

I have 7+ so this is all music to my ears. Thanks a lot for sharing.

@Rubrik Not even a single coding round?

In my loop I had a initial interview which is to review a design doc and implement the best design (so coding there), but was not Algo heavy. Then onsite was a deep dive and 2 system design

Cool! How is the TC at Robinhood?

Stripe. No take home project. More realistic interview questions. They don't do Big O or ask for most optimal solution.

Good to hear that. Thanks for sharing.

Square has pair programming interview where you write a few classes and methods, but not emphasizing difficult algorithms. Samsara- similar Yelp- it's leetcode style but not super crazy Microsoft- interview questions seem more out of CTCI than LC Amazon- I got a lot of OOD and very basic algorithm questions during my onsite, really varies by team A lot of the startups don't emphasize LC either.

Redfin sends you a take-home assignment, then the onsite is some extended discussion on the assignment and system design questions. I am not sure if whiteboard algorithms are asked on onsite but pretty sure it's not the main focus.

I Interviewed with Redfin and they asked leetcode questions
