Someone recently mentioned that this would be the best way to save or defer on Capital gain taxes. I don’t know if this true or if it is some scam ? Would like to read about this and looking for some good pointers.

  • OZs are not a scam - the IRS released the zip codes which qualify for this.

    It’s big in commercial real estate investing - and will subsequently be big for retail too. The tax gain is a given , but if picked correctly the likely rate of growth in OZs is also good.
