Are there any big tech companies hiring for MS .NET skills (remotely or in the Chicago area)? I've been a SWE for 15 years and have mainly worked on MS technologies (.NET, C#, SQL Server etc). It appears that almost all large companies use Java/Kotlin/C/C++. Is MS tech not really leveraged by FAANG+ (other than Microsoft)?
I've seen .NET used in a few large insurance companies.
Can you name a few?
GEICO launched a big initiative to move a lot of their system to .NET a few years back, for one. Your guess is as good as mine as to why.
No one uses .NET
We are MS tech stack heavy and hiring

They’re out there, but don’t be intimidated by switching to the JVM if you need to. Especially if you can use Kotlin, you’ll find it very similar to C# in a lot of ways.

My understanding is banks don't pay as well?
