Any thoughts on West New York, NJ for buying a house

I’m looking at houses in West New York, NJ. This seems to be an unexplored area. You can reach Times Square (PABT) in literally like 25 mins ? Not sure what the catch is. Jersey City and other places in Manhattan are literally unaffordable.

    Gotcha. I was thinking more from an investment perspective. Buy at a medium price and get a cash flow of 6-10%. Even though it’s a bad School district, people who work in the city still prefer staying in areas closer to the city with easy access to transportation. Thoughts ?

    Yup, good area. Not a great school district but good from a commute perspective to the city.

      Thanks! So it’s quite safe? I’m looking at the apt along Hudson Ave, not along the river. Also seems this is old-fashioned Hispanic cultural zone. Would it feel culture-exclusive for non-Hispanic? I cannot even find any whole food market around. But I guess most people here drive for grocery. But I totally agree housing price here is amazing and good commute to city!

      Yup, peaceful. Blvd east has good views but a bit pricey. Jfk Blvd toward 58 to 59th Street has good houses for a decent price. There is a Whole Foods in Weehawken. Definitely, a good location for an easy commute to the city.
