I know their Animation division is pretty new compared to other studios, and word is that they pay top of market. I heard their executives don’t have offices, but “hot desks” in a open bullpen floor plan. That sounds horrible. Is there no privacy, even for phone calls?
So the Animation group is in a temporary location while the new space is built out. I think they are aiming for a September completion. People definitely have offices, and there are also "phone booths" that are small portable rooms that people can have conversations in. Netflix has these in all of our office spaces. The Animation group is new, so the culture is being figured out. There's also some organizational stuff being figured out. I don't mean to make it sound like it's a lot of uncertainty, but rather it's a group where there is a lot of opportunity to have an impact and to guide how Netflix does Animation for years to come. If you're expecting to come work at a place where you're told exactly what to do, you may be disappointed. We want people who can contribute actively to the future of Netflix and not just go along for the ride.
They have a pretty cool setup over at Siren studios. It's open in the middle, but there's a bunch of offices as well
I can’t speak to animation office but in lg there are many one person rooms and noise isolation booths for phone calls
