We’re moving and had an Airbnb reserved for a month. When we got there, it was clear the place wasn’t safe or suitable for children. So we asked for a refund, but they’re siding with the host, who tells them everything is fine. The unit was locked and we couldn’t get into it the first night (apparently the screen door got locked so they called a locksmith the next day). The washer-dryer was broken. The screens on the windows had duct tape. The stairs weren’t to code and not usable by children. Issue after issue. But Airbnb CS just doesn’t care. Any trick to finding somebody that cares? We’re in a hotel room at the moment :( #airbnb
I kept bugging CS for a month straight after a similar situation. I ended up getting a full refund and my hotel stay payed for as well.

I’ve only had positive experiences with Airbnb CS - last year we stayed at one, the host tried to extort us - they claimed we broke things we didn’t etc. the host began to harass me, I contacted customer service- they were great.
I hate how as a customer I can’t simply report an issue to CS. I have to jump hoops and go through their faq. Uber is the same way.
Just DM them on Twitter. I never look at faq

I got scammed when I went overseas and had booked an Airbnb. When I got there, the place was nonexistent. #Airbnb CS was amazing! They tried to get the host, but had me go to a coffeeshop (on them) so I can look for alternative places to stay. They refunded the entire cost and discounted my alternative location. This was done all within an afternoon. They've been great for me.
Just found this post, did CS ended up helping with your situation? I just got a false accuse from a hypocrite host and trying to give feedback to their CS, it has been super slow, not sure COVID slowed down the response or it has been always this slow. The host was a complete liar and left a awful review on us and I’m trying to repute or get it removed. She also lied about the listing description, I didn’t ask her for refund to not cause a scene, but after this aggressive review from her, I really felt my kindness was not worth it.

Airbnb has pretty good customer service and I myself has been a host since 2010. I can tell you most of the time the CS team is pretty fair. They’ve sided w my customers plenty of times and they’ve also sided with me as well. If you don’t get the right people to side with you , keep pushing for a case manager. Eventually you will get it. You need concrete evidence so don’t forget to take photos
