Never officially held the role, but 4 years before my layoff as part of a larger investor coup, I was a servant leader on 2 key projects that were very successful. How do I convince employers I can do this? Will be homeless if this keeps up.
Lots of companies hiring scrum master but having only that skill set will/might hit you down the lane. If you have project management experience or Business Analysis exp, look out for that instead of searching only as scrum master. Most of the teams now moving away from scrum master and the job is being taken care by either TPMs or Dev Leads.

TL/DR: make sure that the scrum ceremonies happen, facilitate product development largely by removing impediments, and in general, be an authority on the scrum framework.
