Even when you talk and hangout at least a couple times a week? You always think the worst and just know there is some kind of medical emergency... Parents getting older and health problems are terrible. How do you cope? Any advice? TC $183K 10 YoE
Not when it rings, but I do get freaked out often. I call them myself more frequently and check in how are they doing health wise. But sooner or later we all have to accept the biggest truth of life.
No
Yes. Also everyone who says No is lying.
😞. I am sad everytime anyone posts anything about parents. 😢
Yes. Moreso now that I’ve had older family members with medical emergencies
I wish mine could and I know it won’t happen ever
Thinking of Canada for the same reason, such that they can stay with me.. Healthcare in US is too costly.
Yes. Yes, I hired someone and it helped my piece of mind. A geriatric care manager, usually a licensed nurse or social worker who specializes in geriatrics, is a sort of "professional relative" who can help you and your family to identify needs and find ways to meet your needs. These specially trained professionals can help find resources to make your daily life easier
Which city?
NYC
Yes, I freak out, but I freak out even more when I call and there is no answer. Even if they callback in the next 5 mins, those are the most tensed 5 mins of the week.
