Seeing a bunch of posts about the new Texas abortion law.

Was hoping to hear from people in Texas, hear about what you think about the law.

While I think it’s important to discuss, it’s important to also hear perspective of those that live in Texas and are experiencing the law.

Update: I am a man living in the Pacific Northwest.

I am purposely not posting my opinion.

  • Former Texan here, no I do not agree with it and the double standards of these justification baffles me. When it comes to wearing mask/getting vaccine, “oh, my body my choice” but when it comes to abortion, “oh government should say what I can do and what I can’t”. Pls. The sanity ran away faster than Ted Cruz going to Mexico during last winter storm.

Babies are separate humans after birth and we throw mothers in jail if they neglect them so not sure what your point is. Maybe all old and infirm should be euthanized at their caretakers whim as well?

Heartbeat at 6 months != Live human.
There could be a 100 reasons why someone doesn't want the kid. It's always better to abort than giving birth and abandoning the kid or letting the kid have a shitty childhood. If a condom was 100% effective then maybe this could be justified but since it's not this law is nothing but saying fuck you to all women.

Whether it’s “scientifically” considered a live human or not.

No one should be killing babies with a heartbeat.

Anyone saying otherwise it’s clearly brainwashed by the Jewish controlled media and institutions.

      Abortion is a depopulation tool.

Besides, “science” can’t even explain how
or why our universe came into existence.

There’s absurd “big bang” THEORY, but it’s just a THEORY.

It’ll be overturned by the Supreme Court eventually, people claiming some sort of giant shift in the court do not understand it. The request was rejected for procedural reasons - the law was specifically designed to make it impossible to temporarily stop via an emergency request.

Random Republican creeps can now spy on women to see if they got an abortion and sue any they claim helped them, including just giving a woman a ride to the OBGYN, which is all none of their business. But they can't be countesued for unproven accusations and legal fees. Basically, Texas just deputized the most deranged to spy on women for money. And SCOTUS is OK with it. Fear!

  • I’m from Texas and I generally agree with the conservative laws we have here around guns and how we handled covid.

I don’t like the abortion law at all though. I honestly think Texas was getting scared of turning blue and it’s trying to force as many liberals out as possible.

Now that is interesting. So you think they passed this particular to keep Californians and other liberals out of Texas?
      Sep 2, 2021
    • I think thats one reason they are focusing on aggressively conservative policies right now. Try to attract conservatives and deter liberals
