Loved planes since a young age and finally have the means to pursue a pilot’s license. Have a couple questions: How much did it cost to get your license? Do you own a plane (and do you recommend it)?
Buying a plane does make sense if you're going to fly a lot, value scheduling flexibility and want a kick-ass plane. Most flying clubs have boring planes.
Yes. I was in a cheap location at the time. Total cost around 7k Instructor was 50$/hr. Plane was 65-125/ hr (depending on which model was available on the day) the plane he wasn't really just hour of usage. But hour of fuel. So 1 hr went to like 1.25 real time. Best thing is u can spend as much or as little monthly. If u wanna spend less. Do 1-2 hour monthly. Will take a long time to finish. Wanna spend more finish everything in 2 months.
what state?
That cost applies to any Low CoL area. Also buying a plane is useless. Way more convenient is to join a flying club. Both financially and in terms of safety it's better.
