if anyone is using the managed portfolio service of JP Morgan Chase, is it worth giving them 1% of the money we bring in. I have an investment portfolio of 115K and want to understand from an existing client if it is worthwile. tc - 140K
I am planning to use vanguard advisory services, 0.30% fees and they mostly balance the portfolio with passive funds.
Not worth it. Look up Bogleheads 3 fund portfolio and invest in those funds, adjusting for your age group.
Chase can be worth it if you have 250k+ and take advantage of their Private Client benefits. For example they can give a 1% drop on a mortgage interest rate.
Private Client trying to do that right now. They’ve offered 0.125% off, and that goes away if (when) you ask them to match the lower rates from anyone else.
Totally not worth it. Yes, they do actively manage your funds and occasionally outperform the market (usually in curbing losses), but over time they lag market performance slightly and you’re paying 1% for them to not even beat the S&P500 on a two-year run.
True. If anyone is accredited investor willing to take fair risk, better create a private club and discuss strategy together. PM if interested.
