What does that mean ? Also, offer details ?
H-1B allows you to apply for a transfer and work immediately for the new employer upon receipt of the application submitted by the new sponsor company... but the application may subsequently get denied.
Sr. Consultant. 145k + 12% Bonus + variable performance bonus + 20k sign in cash.
OP - You work in Capgemini, so you must have heard the H1-B visa situation within consulting companies..don't take the 'joining on receipt' risk.
Agreed, I wanted to see if there are anyone who risked it and went through the process with Deloitte :) Thank you
What OP really means is he wants a circle jerk reassuring him that doing the stupid and risky thing he wants to do and is going to do anyways is going be just peachy, like EVERY OTHER H1B ON BLIND.
Not at all risky if you have that package..just need to have a background in information systems engineering...mis or cs
Op - don’t move on receipt. I personally know someone who worked at delloite and had to move back to India because the H1b extension was denied even after the appeal. Can’t you wait for 3 more weeks, premium should be back hopefully.
Most of the H1B Transfer to Deloitte gets RFE these days. And Deloitte doesn’t allow you to work from India if the transfer is denied, while they will refile the H1B petition.
Jesus Christ. Do a search. There’s a reason *every solitary person except H1Bs themselves* says transferring on receipt is moronic. Premium processing is gone for the foreseeable future. If it was coming back, it would’ve been back earlier this month. Don’t plan around it. You will get a RFE, Deloitte will not stand behind you when it is denied. They will not hand you a job in India. As to the whining about hating your current job, you could do what every other functional adult does when confronted with a challenge: suck it up and deal.
