Better yet- has anyone switched from Slack? I haven’t heard of anyone using Microsoft Teams at all. They surely must, I see the numbers. But of my friends that work at basically every app company you’d have on your phone, they’re only growing their Slack usage and paying more. So is it just huge corporate things that are too deep in Microsoft to switch?
It must be included in some office 365 bs and that’s where they get their numbers. Never met anyone that’s used it.
If you already have office 365 for your company why would you pay for slack?
Have never used Teams but I know that it appeals more to corporate employees outside of tech. Many traditional firms in law and business use MS products in general
Our 5000+ employee corporate conglomerate uses it. Mostly coz it’s part of office 365. Also fun fact, I interviewed at Amazon a few months ago and none of my interviewers knew what slack was.
That’s not possible? Do they drive on roads to work?
No seriously I was surprised too. Devices team btw.
. But teams has the blessings of Microsoft , and huge investment- so slack doesn’t stand a chance , teams is the clear winner
I mean before teams we used Skype for business, it’s way better than that.
For people already using Skype maybe. Every billion dollar tech company made after 2000 will continue dumping tens of thousands into Slack.
My previous company of 15000+ migrated to teams from slack. Many tech companies go for slack, but the buck does not end there. There are tons of industries outside tech that Microsoft teams have great deal of dominance.
Yep my team just switched over to Teams from Skype. We also use Slack though
Another point to discussion- Slack stock is not growing or more on the negative side after going public last year. There is no doubt slack user base is growing but might be operating cost is high.
We use Teams.
No wtf the only ones who do are those who want to become Satya Nadella
