American here (no visa issues) The org that is giving me an offer at Amazon has a team in Berlin. The thing with A is it seems rather easy to change teams to just about anywhere. I understand the pay in other countries is not as ludicrous though Anyone worked overseas for the experience? Was it worth it? I was never able to do the whole study abroad thing and always feel like I missed out
It's unlikely to be useful for actual work experience for SWE, but if you want to grow as a person, this can be good, just make sure you're not working non-stop, as that will defeat the whole purpose.
If it’s in Berlin your work life balance will be amazing and your expenses will be extremely low

Go for it, just make sure to seek advice from expats on negotiations. There are a lot of traps to fall into, endless number of them but it’s worth it. Most likely you’ll end up even in the end of journey but some manage to settle and never come back
Also I’d pick a shitty place not Berlin. Shitty places are the best. Make sure it’s not conservative though like Saudi.
