AppLovin offer

Working for LinkedIn for 14 months. Have an offer from AppLovin in EU. Lots of talk about "ground floor" and "potential" down the line. Role is essentially account management. Thoughts/tips?

Unless they have a unique technically differentiated offering, viable strategy to get acquired (from or view), rich comp plan I'd say nah. As an AM, despite joining early don't value the equity to be worth much.

Was this company founded by Mclovin?

I’ve worked w them as an advertiser trying to acq leads via their platform. Didn’t seem to have anything special about them. Every startup will tell u basically the same story depending on where they are at, take it w a grain of salt and know that there’s less than 1% chance ur equity will ever amount to anything, and if it does, unless you’re leadership, that exit event won’t be life changing for you.

The teams in Europe and Asia are mostly BD/sales/marketing type of roles. I’d suggest be prepared to know about the role, the company, and the overall mobile advertising ecosystem. If the role is specifically about account management, most likely you’d be working with app developers trying to monetize their mobile applications. So, know about the nuisances of how user acquisition and monetization works for different types of verticals.
