I recently finished my onsite interview at Apple and recruiter scheduled a follow up call with the hiring manager whom I also met during the onsite.. Now waiting to hear back from the recruiter. How long would it take after this and is it normal to schedule a call with the hm after onsite? Whats the ideal timeline to hear back at this point...
It wont matter what recruiter thinks. At the end what matters is hiring manager ;)
True that! Seems like hm operates on god mode
Anywhere from 1 day to 1 month
Post onsite or after final follow up call? Also, is the call with hm after onsite common? I have seen that onsite interviews are the last.
Hiring managers in my org get feedback from the interviewers end of the same day, so the decision shouldn't take more than 2--3 business days.
My team I interviewed with was on hiring freeze. After 2 phone interviews and an onsite round with 5 interviews, the HM called me and almost told me that i will be hired, but that there was a hiring freeze and i shouldnt be hearing before April. I wasnt that tensed since i had other offers as well, but the hr did a good job of keeping in contact with me and send me the offer by march end.
That’s good. HM being transparent about the process is great
Yeah and the team is IST which ironically has so much bad reviewers!! I appreciated that gesture though.
Hey do you mind sharing how it went for you in the end?

Avoid teams with only Chinese or Indians especially with a Chinese/Indian manager
thanks! I am just worried that the recruiter doesn't think I am desperate and ghosts me. Did you have a similar experience as well?
I have been following up on a weekly basis and the only response I get is " we are gathering more feedback and will get back to you" i dont understand how much feedback they need :/ Its a yes or no thing
